Chauffeur Training

Professional Chauffeur Training β€” Industry-Leading Standards

A vehicle is only as good as the person driving it. At The Driver Provider, our chauffeurs are not simply drivers who passed a background check β€” they are trained professionals who understand that every interaction with a client is a representation of our company’s standards and our clients’ expectations. Since 1995, we have built our reputation on the quality of our people as much as the quality of our fleet.

Chauffeur Selection

Our chauffeurs are selected from the best in the transportation industry. The selection process is rigorous β€” most applicants do not meet our standards.
  • Comprehensive background check and criminal record verification
  • Motor vehicle record review and driving history assessment
  • Professional licensing verification
  • In-person interview and professional conduct assessment

Selection Criteria

To be considered, applicants must hold:

  • A minimum of 2 years driving experience (any type of driving experience, not solely luxury)
  • A valid driver’s license in the state they will be operating in
  • For motor coach operators: CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement

Additional training is provided by The Driver Provider after hire.

Training Program

Our orientation program is a five-day, paid program designed to formally introduce new chauffeurs to The Driver Provider. The primary goal is to familiarize them with our company, leadership team, and service standards, while preparing them to deliver the level of professionalism we expect.

Throughout the program, new hires learn who we serve, how to provide outstanding customer service, how to properly set up and maintain their vehicle, and what is expected of them in their role. They also become proficient in the three primary applications we use day-to-day: Driver Schedule, Motive, and GroundPad.

Week-One Structure

DayFocus
Day 1Driving evaluation on basic maneuvers using one of our vehicles
Days 2–4Mix of classroom instruction (policies and procedures), departmental meetings (Dispatch, M&E, and DMC partners where applicable), and hands-on road familiarization covering local routes and area orientation.
